NQT InductionRegistering new NQT

Registering an NQT

NQT graphicThere are two parallel processes which affect an NQT. Firstly, there are personnel matters (including salary) for which Education HR require notification. Secondly, there is the induction process, managed by the School Improvement Division (SID). This ensures collection and transfer of data required by the DfES and the GTCe, monitoring of progress, provision of information, etc; it also triggers your funding allocation.

To begin the induction process, it is vital that you complete a registration form for each NQT and forward this to the NQT Database Manger at Seabridge Centre as soon as you appoint a newly qualified teacher.

When you appoint an NQT they may have not completed all of their Skills Tests. It is vital that you see documentary evidence that these tests have all been completed as this can affect their status in your school.

It is important to remember to complete this form even if an NQT has joined you part way through their induction.
