Success for Staffordshire Youth Recorder and Renaissance Ensemble
Staffordshire Youth Recorder and Renaissance Ensemble has been chosen to go into the next round of the National Festival for Youth Music following an inspiring performance at St. John's Church in Wolverhampton
They will now be performing in the Recital Hall at Birmingham Conservatoire and in Centenary Square on Wednesday 4 July.
Around 400 groups have chosen to play in one of three concert venues in Birmingham over six days. SYRRE also aim to perform at another concert on the same day in a marquee on centenary square.
Staffordshire Youth Recorder and Renaissance Ensemble are led by SPA teachers Jim Scarrott and Jane Coxon and rehearse every Thursday at Staffordshire Performing Arts in Stafford.
SYRRE are having an open day on Thursday 28 June at SPA, 56 Eastgate Street. This will be an opportunity for new members to join for players aged 11 to 19 (at least grade three standard).
