New Secondary Curriculum: support and guidance for MFL
Main QCA website covering all aspects and all components.
This has been developing since Spring 2007 and is constantly being added to. You can find here all statutory features (eg aims, values, programmes of study, etc), plus associated non-statutory guidance. There is a dedicated area for MFL and a number of individual case studies plus some video clips illustrating innovative practice.
QCA/CfBT specific new MFL site
A dedicated "microsite", part of the support for MFL specialists being provided by ALL, under the auspices of CfBT. It contains a good deal of helpful guidance and advice, plus an increasingly wide selection of videos and case-studies. It will expand as time progresses. You need to "register" (a simple matter) by giving your email address plus a password. You then receive an email to confirm, and you need to click on a hyperlink in the email to complete the registration.
ALL (Association for Language Learning) site - specific to New Secondary Curriculum
This is less "official and formal" than the two QCA sites: designed and maintained by ALL's national lead adviser, Kathy Wicksteed, it contains a lot of additional guidance material connected to development of the new MFL curriculum at KS3, plus a discussion forum and a growing number of case studies illustrating what a number of schools are developing.
