Welcome to Staffordshire's Gifted and Talented website which gives support and guidance to teachers, coordinators, parents, and carers on practical approaches to the identification, teaching and learning of pupils deemed gifted and talented. Also included are links to useful related sites resources, training opportunities and current developments, at local and national levels.
Gifted and Talented provision is clearly based on the principles of inclusion in line with the County Council's stated priorities. It is intended to help young people and ensure that regardless of background or ability they are given the very best chance to succeed. Many people involved in education may use other titles for Gifted and Talented children. While using this website it is necessary to think of the term Gifted and Talented more as a programme of provision and not merely as a label for certain children.
