West Midland Coordinators of Governor Services (WMCOGS) is one of nine regional groups in England and Wales acting as professional networks for Local Authority providers of services to school governors. It is a prime focus for the development of services and a key conduit for information between government policy makers and those identifying and responding to needs in the field.
WMCOGS
- is a self-sustaining organisation with its own communication and funding arrangements
- provides an opportunity for the sharing of information and the dissemination of good practice
- shares a commitment to continuous improvement of the governor support service
- supports the professional development of those providing services
The other regional groups are: North, North West, Yorkshire and Humber, Eastern, London, South East, South West. Each region can be contacted via the regional representative, who is a member of the national committee.
WMCOGS is affiliated to and represented at national level by the National Co‑ordinators of Governor Services (NCOGS).
