Children in CareGCSE Incentive Scheme

GCSE Incentive Scheme

Staffordshire County Council recognises the importance of supporting our Looked After Children to maximise their educational outcomes.

As Corporate Parents for these children, one of the ways that we fulfil this role is to provide an incentive to our Looked After Children to pass their GCSE or equivalent examinations.

This is just one of the forms of support that the Virtual School for Looked After Children can offer.

The incentive scheme is intended to be used to support the educational aims and targets set in the PEP; a discussion about GCSE incentives with the young person at the PEP is therefore crucial.  GCSE incentives are for Looked After Children in the care of Staffordshire County Council only.

  • Consult with your local Virtual School for Looked After Children, Education Co-ordinator.
