Inclusion and Well Being

Equal Opportunities for all children and young people, whatever their age, gender, ethnicity, attainment and background are fundamental to Inclusion and Well-being in Staffordshire.

Inclusion in Staffordshire means that every child and young person will become a successful learner, a responsible citizen and a confident individual. The well being of every young person in Staffordshire is crucial to achieving this. We should therefore ensure that children and young people are educated in their local school or setting and only very rarely should that be set aside. The school or setting should do their utmost to ensure that the needs of all children and young people in their community are met, make changes to their organisation to enable this, and seek support where necessary to help to do this. Services should provide timely interventions and appropriate support to underpin inclusion.

A variety of teams and services are available to support children and young people in Staffordshire.  Links to these and further information on Inclusion and Well Being can be found on this site.
