Men's Health Awareness Day

An Awareness Day promoting men's health issues is taking place in June as part of National Men's Health Week.

The event is being held at the John O'Leary Centre, Marquis Drive, Cannock Chase on Wednesday 11 June between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm.

The sessions (lasting half an hour) have been organised by Staffordshire County Council's Occupational Health and Health and Safety Teams and are sponsored by Countryside Services.

The aim of the day is to raise the profile of men's health in the workplace.

During the ½ hour sessions the attendees will be offered the opportunity to undertake a Cardio Vascular Risk Assessment, which consists of a blood pressure, cholesterol, height and weight check to body mass index.  The Occupational Health Team will be available during the day to offer appropriate advice and support.

You can drop in to the sessions at any time, however take up is expected to be high so it would be beneficial to book an appointment by contacting Sheila Brassington on 01785 276283 or e-mail.

A location map is available which (if left on your windscreen) will act as a parking ticket for the day.

Further information available from Scott Wilson on 01785 254685 or 07966 328861
