COLLECT Blog
2pm Friday 21st May....Please be patient when uploading files, it can take some time, particularly if you are a larger school. You should be able to minimise your internet browser and carry on with something else while the file uploads.....
9am Friday 21st May.....COLLECT is running quite quickly so far this morning....
3pm Thursday 20th May.....COLLECT is now running quite slowly, and you may find you get the message 'The System is at Peak Capacity, Posting and Deleting Returns are Operations Affected Please Try Again Later ' Remember the deadline is not until 10th June, so the file does not have to be uploaded today.....
12noon Thursday 20th May.....COLLECT is still up and running although it is getting slower as more schools log on. You should still be able to upload your file reasonably quickly, although a bit of patience may be required for larger schools! ...
Thank you to all schools who have uploaded their files so far, the return rate this morning has been excellent!
9am Thursday 20th May.....COLLECT is now available for Staffordshire schools...

May 2009 School Census -
Updated Validation Files
An e-mail has gone out from SLT to all schools regarding new files to correct some validation issues with the School Census. The e-mail states that it is essential that these files are imported into SIMS before the School Census is validated. However, please note that if you have already completed your return ready to upload to COLLECT, it IS NOT NECESSARY to import these updated validation files.
If you have yet to start your census return, please import these new files before you begin. Instructions on doing so are available on the MIS Advisory Team website.
Further info on the May census is available here

Cohort Transfer 2009
We are currently awaiting an upgrade for our central system which will enable us to produce files of your expected September intake. These will hopefully be available after Wednesday 10th June, although once again we will not be able to provide contact information. Schools may prefer to contact their feeder schools directly for files, however please be aware that the summer term is a busy time for all schools, and many primary schools have only one member of admin staff. Please be patient when requesting these files.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you, unfortunately this is caused by circumstances beyond our control.

Contact Data
A bulletin was recently sent out regarding the importance of making sure contact information is complete and accurate. Further information is available here
