NQT Database Applications
The NQT Database has closed.
Unfortunately the Closing date for the NQT Database has passed and so you are unable to submit an application to the database.
For your information the closing date was 12.00pm, Friday 8th February 2008.
Alongside the NQT Database you can apply for vacancies directly to schools advertised on the Teachers Vacancy Bulletin which is updated on a daily basis. In addition to the bulletin, many vacancies are advertised in local newspapers and schools regularly advertise in the national educational press.
Submitted Applications:
By submitting your application form you have consented to your details being stored on a secure database, Headteachers can access this information via a secure password protected website. All data submitted via your online application form, will be used by Staffordshire's Teacher Recruitment Team for Recruitment purposes only and will comply with the Data Protection Act 1998. By completing this form you agree to your details being shared with Staffordshire Schools.
Application Process:
- The NQT Databases are open to any qualified teacher who, has not completed an induction year and, has qualified within the last 2 years (as at July 2008).
- The NQT Databases are for those who wish to make a speculative application to Staffordshire schools
- Being accepted on the database does not guarantee you work, or even an interview
- Applications are to be made online, if this is an issue please contact the Teacher Recruitment Team
- When writing your supporting statement please refer to the
Person Specification, ensure that it is approximately 400 words or 1 side of A4 and it addresses the following question: How will your strengths make a difference to children's learning in Staffordshire?
- Try to supply a fax number and email address for your referees, so that referees can be contacted.
- To ensure we keep the database up to date, it is important that you inform us of changes to your details
- Please complete the online application form provided and DO NOT use a Curriculum Vitae as an alternative.
Selection Process:
To be considered for the NQT Database all applicants must have:
- Fully completed the application form (including supporting statement, addressing the question stated and person specification);
- Submitted their application before the closing date (8th February 2008);
- Achieved, within the last 2 years (as at July 2008), or be working towards, Qualified Teacher Status;
- Not completed their NQT induction period.
In order to be approved and have your details made available on the NQT Database, all applicants:
- Must meet all criteria as outlined above;
- Must demonstrate, both on their application form and through interview, their suitability for teaching in a Staffordshire school and how they meet the elements laid out in the person specification
