Staffordshire County Council aims to ensure that we have the right number and quality of teachers working in our schools. We are also striving towards a more diverse teaching workforce that is representative of the local communities we serve. We would welcome applications from the under-represented groups in society.
Teachers Vacancy Bulletin 
On the Staffordshire County Council website the "Teachers Vacancy Bulletin" is updated on a daily basis, providing details of teaching vacancies across the County. Application forms and further details are available from the contacts identified within each advertisement. You are now able to subscribe to e-alerts via this area so that you are notified each time a vacancy is added to the site which meets the criteria you have selected. Attached is a word version of the application form to be used for vacancies directly to schools.
Teachers Application Form
In addition to the bulletin, many vacancies are advertised in local newspapers and schools regularly advertise in the national educational press. There is a legal requirement to advertise all headteacher and deputy headteacher posts nationally. Application forms and further details with regard to the specific vacancies are available directly from the school.
Staffordshire are also piloting the Schools Recruitment Service in a number of its schools.
Schools Recruitment Service
The Schools Recruitment Service is provided by the Department for Children, Schools and Families to create a central location for individuals to apply for school based roles. Staffordshire County Council are currently piloting the use of the service within a number of its schools.
To access any of Staffordshire's vacancies that are advertised on the system when they become available you should visit and register with the Schools Recruitment Service.
